DR SONYA RYANMB, BCh, BAO, BMedSci, DCH, DRCOG, MICGP. (Med Council Reg No 277517)

Sonya is originally from Cork, and qualified in UCC with 1st degree honours in 2006. She initially worked in general surgery before joining the Cork GP scheme in 2008 and qualifying with MICGP in 2012.

Since then she has worked in general practice in Cork and Limerick. Sonya has a Diploma in Child Health, Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Certificates in contraception and long acting reversible contraception.

She joined Blossom Gate in 2014 and became a partner in January 2016. She has a special interest in women’s health. Dr Ryan is married and has twin girls. She has a keen interest in running and fitness.

DR ELIZABETH MURPHYMB, BCh BAO, MICGP, DCP, DME. (Med Council Reg No 222493)

Elizabeth qualified from UCC and spent a number of years working in hospital medicine in the areas of general medicine, psychiatry and emergency medicine, including 6 months in Australia.

She completed her postgraduate training with the Cork Specialist Training Programme in General Practice in 2013, becoming a Member of the Irish College of General Practitioners.

She holds postgraduate diplomas in Clinical Psychiatry and Medicine of the Elderly. She joined the practice team in Blossom Gate in 2015. She enjoys all aspects of general practice, including paediatrics, mental health and medicine for the elderly.

ANITA FITZGERALD, RGN RMPRACTICE NURSE

Anita Fitzgerald trained in The Royal Victoria Hospital Belfast & The Regional Maternity Hospital Limerick. She joined Blossom Gate Medical Centre in 1996 and her interests include asthma management, ante natal care, and travel vaccines.

MARGUERITE WALLISPRACTICE NURSE

Qualified in 2003 from University of Limerick with diploma in Nursing, BSC in Nursing and Higher Diploma in Health Service Management. She worked in the acute surgical wards in University Hospital Limerick for 13 years as a staff nurse and Clinical Nurse Manager.

EILEEN MURPHYSECRETARY

Eileen is from Kilmallock and has held the position of Medical Secretary/Receptionist at Blossomgate since March 2008. She has a wealth of experience – over 27 experience in financial, legal and medical administration.
